How to Find an Adult or Senior Tournament

There are hundreds of local, state, sectional and national tournaments available to tennis players!  These events are used to produce state, sectional and national rankings each year.  Age group events include singles, doubles, mixed doubles and family doubles. Age group events begin at 25 and include five-year increments up to 85!  NTRP tournaments offer singles, doubles and mixed doubles and use the NTRP levels from 2.5 to 5.0.

This site list most tournaments for age group and NTRP tournaments in the USTA Sections.  To use the searchable schedule, go to "National/Sectional/District" drop-down menu and select your section and the state you are wishing to play. Under the "Division" drop-down menu, you can select your specific NTRP or Age Level division preference. Click on "Search," and this will list most tournaments in your area and the date for the tournaments.  Please note that tournaments are listed by month, so you may change the drop-down to February, March, and so on for the time of the year you are wanting to play. To refine your search, use one of the search options, such as Keyword search, location or date.

To find a tournament to play in go to your section’s website, and go to "Adults" then "Tournaments/Rankings." This will allow a player to view your section’s tournaments in both NTRP and Age Level print-outs. This page will also have Point Per Round table and your Section’s Championship tournaments. On the "Tournaments/Rankings" drop-down, you can also view Adult and Senior current and final rankings and point standings. Go to your state website to view state rankings and schedules.

How to Register for a Tournament:
Click on the tournament name of the tournament for which you wish to register, to go to the Tournament  Home Page.

Tournament Home page- here you will see all of the information about the tournament.  Click on the Tennis LINK Register Now link.

Register Player page: -enter the USTA number of the person you wish to register for the tournament.  The registration system will validate the player’s eligibility and USTA membership status, and will only allow entry into the appropriate events/divisions. If the player is not a member, or the membership is expired, you must apply or renew the membership before you can continue.

Choose Event page:  Verify that the information about the selected player is accurate.  If not follow the instructions to contact the USTA membership Dept.  Then select the events/divisions that you wish to register for, taking note of the message regarding the number of events one player can enter.
